Boca Raton, Fla., March 29, 2005 –
Interfuse Technology Corp. today announced it has received Patent number
6,874,139 from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for key elements of
its OfficeLock® file-security software technology.
The Patent is official recognition of a groundbreaking approach to data
security that automatically provides security policy enforcement at the
end point of use (electronic files and email messages), within and beyond
the corporate network. Patents on other OfficeLock technology components
are pending.
OfficeLock Enterprise is a multi-function security solution that embeds
corporate security-policy attributes – including encryption and usage
restriction – within files and email messages. This enables organizations
to enforce their security policy by protecting information inside or
outside their security perimeter – independent of any server connection or
network security level.
OfficeLock G2 meets or exceeds U.S. Government requirements for processing
sensitive-but-unclassified (SBU) data. Both OfficeLock Enterprise and
OfficeLock G2 include functionality that integrates a variety of
enterprise biometric authentication, directory services and Application
Protection Technology.
OfficeLock has been successfully used by corporations and government
agencies to control access to the most sensitive information and email
messages.
“The awarding of this patent represents another important milestone for
our company. It demonstrates Interfuse’s leadership in the ongoing effort
to help businesses reduce financial losses and brand erosion caused by
data security breaches,” said Interfuse President and CEO Phil Viscomi.
“Our products help businesses enforce information-security standards and
reduce leakage of sensitive information. This provides security officials
the confidence to exchange proprietary data and comply with worldwide
regulatory mandates.”
